VILLAGE FESTIVAL
“This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations.”
– Matthew 24:14 –
Three to five day culturally relevant festivals are held in unreached villages. The Gospel is explained in the native language by native workers in a culturally relevant and intelligent way. Anywhere from 100-300 people attend such festivals – which include music, dramas, story telling and teachings.
These festivals are usually held in the courtyard of a ‘man of peace’ in the village, who invites his family, friends and villagers. This opens up doors for the Gospel to the village, and often within few months a church is planted through this effective method.
