Community Empowerment

Compelled seeks to empower people on an individual and communal level. To this end, we have several initiatives for the “least of these” across India, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Our central focus on the Great Commission is completed by our passion for the Great Commandment, which includes eradicating illiteracy in tribal villages, providing clean drinking water to villages, and caring for widows.

Widow Care

Widows are a specific population that we hold especially close to our hearts. These women are often shunned in their villages and, at times, even discarded by their families. Compelled provides basic food and clothes to widows, instilling dignity and self worth. In many cases, these women are also offered work opportunities to generate income.

Eradicating Illiteracy

Compelled works to educate and support communities, fueled by the abundant love of Jesus. One of the most impactful ways to empower underserved villagers is to teach them to read and write. Doing so creates seismic, powerful shifts in a person’s ability to earn a stable income, to understand important paperwork, and to engage with the world at large.

Clean Drinking Water

Without clean drinking water, disease runs rampant and communities suffer. This essential, building block of life is one of the most important resources we at Compelled can bring to a remote village.
